Home For The Games offers volunteers a chance to share the Olympic spirit—and raise funds for a good cause

VANCOUVER, BC
Home For The Games is a new society that aims to provide reasonably priced accommodations for 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games visitors, while raising funds to help Vancouver’s most vulnerable citizens. We’re seeking volunteers for a variety of positions over the next six months.
Home For The Games connects Games visitors with Metro Vancouver homeowners willing to rent a room or suite in their home for reasonable rates, with at least 50% of the rental fee allocated directly to our charity partners, Covenant House Vancouver and Streetohome Foundation.
Not only are we providing a solution to the Olympic accommodation shortage—we are raising funds to tackle homelessness in Metro Vancouver.
Want to get involved? We are looking for volunteers to assist with home visits, promote Home For The Games at community events and help with administration.
In addition to helping fight homelessness in our city, this is a great opportunity to meet and work with a network of fun, community-minded volunteers, homeowners and our international guests during the 2010 Olympics and Paralympics. If you’re an outgoing, responsible person who wants to make the most of the Games, we’d love to meet you.
